Tips for Quicker Edit Sessions

Since most projects produced by ALL EVENT AUDIO are priced by the hour, we want to produce your Competitve Music in the shortest possible time.  Most of our Competitive Music Sessions take less than one hour to produce.  You can be sure that our Mixing Editors will work most efficiently by reviewing the following guidelines:
1)  Preview the musical sources you intend to use ... make notes on what section or segments of music you would like to use in your project, the approximate length of each section and the approximate time of where to locate each section within the original recording.
2)  ALL EVENT AUDIO recommends using CDs as original sources for your audio project.  Although we can produce projects from almost any type of media (Cassettes, Records, Reel-to-Reel Tape, Digital Audio Tape <DAT>) the best audio quality will be obtained from original CD recordings.  Be advised that if your original source is a Cassette Tape or Record Album, additional time will be required to "clean up" the original recording in order to bring the audio up to near CD quality. (However, our engineers are experts at cleaning up 'noisy' audio and can easily remove 'clicks' and 'pops' contained in old record albums and 'hiss' from older cassette tape recordings.  This process takes additional time to perform and will most likely add extra time to your editing session.)
3)  Arrive on time for your appointment ... many times sessions are scheduled back-to-back.  To ensure that your session does not run later than expected, either delaying the start of another session or requiring your session to be interrupted, please be prompt and prepared.
